Comprehensive Digestive Stool Analysis

Many chronic health issues are caused by inflammation in the digestive tract and abnormal levels of yeast/candida, pathogenic bacteria or other parasitic microbes.  Boulder Natural Health offers a Comprehensive Digestive Stool Analysis (CDSA)™ from Genova Diagnostics.

We offer natural solutions to treat most digestive conditions including celiac disease, irritable bowel syndrome, crohn’s disease, ulcerative colitis, diarrhea, constipation, gas and bloating, abdominal adhesions, ulcers, diverticulitis, parasitic infections and malabsorption issues.  Call us today at 303-960-3920 and ask us about our approach to treating digestive issues.  You can also send us an email.

The CDSA™ test may be appropriate for patients experiencing any of the following conditions:

  • Indigestion

  • Constipation

  • Diarrhea

  • Irritable Bowel Syndrome

  • Candida/yeast

  • Crohn’s disease

  • Ulcerative Colitis

  • Gas and bloating

  • Infection

  • Dysbiosis

  • Leaky Gut Syndrome

  • Malabsorption

  • Abdominal pain

  • Fibromyalgia

  • Chronic Fatigue Syndrome

  • Autoimmune disease

  • Arthritis

  • Rosacea

  • Peri-oral dermatitis

  • Other skin conditions

The CDSA™ evaluates digestion and absorption, bacterial balance and metabolism, yeast and immune status.  It includes all of the following markers of digestive health:

Digestion Markers: adequate digestive enzyme production, maldigestion, chymotrypsin, short chain fatty acids (SCFAs), meat fibers and vegetable fibers.

Absorption Markers: Elevated levels of the listed fatty acids may indicate maldigestion, malabsorption, altered transit time, and small bowel bacterial overgrowth.

Metabolic Markers: These markers identify imbalances that are associated with increased toxic burden, small bowel bacterial overgrowth or severe inflammation. Markers include beneficial SCFAs, n-butyrate, beta-glucuronidase, pH, fecal lactoferrin, macroscopic exam, and occult blood.

Microbiology Markers: Provides quantitative measures of the good bacteria–Lactobacillis and bifidobacterium, pathogenic bacteria and yeast/candida levels.

Parasitology: (EIA and microscopic evaluation) This evaluation quantifies all ova and parasites identified.
